  1. When two topics that sound fundamentally different from each other come together, conflict is bound to occur. We see it when issues of war or poverty is discussed between the government and religion. This same problem occurs when politics enters the field of the environment. It is a daunting task to try to get people on the same page when they are politically segregated and this abstract only proves this point by adding environmental choices to the mix. This abstract suggest that political conservatives are less willing to assist in finding energy-efficient technology than liberals. After reading this, my only suggestion is that these different perspectives liberals and conservatives needs to hashed out more in order to find some common ground on moving forward regarding the environment.
